Mel,
I too, have trouble absolutely trusting. I think that I am completely trusting as I pray, but find myself worrying later or acting, rather than waiting on Him. You mentioned the verses in Psalm 22:4-5 which say, “Our fathers trusted in You..." This causes me to ponder, have I shared with my children all the ways and times that God has delivered me? If not, then there's no way for them to know about it, learn from it, and be encouraged by it.
love you sister,
Lea Anne

Melody,

Thanks for the reminder!

I find myself doing the same thing, of picking back up, what I have laid down!

Indeed, I will join you in resolving to lean on the Lord and less on myself.

Thank you for an awesome post!

Thank you, Melony, for your words and the scriptures you quoted. They were very timely for me. I needed to be reminded of that today.

Hi Melody,

Awesome post!

Faith With Substance is indeed a great tag line and one that has been made real in your life and has been seen by others as you walked this path. I am so glad to count Jeff and you as my friends at church and I am glad to have found Cumberland Community Church.

The tagline that has been made real for me on my journey, is that of I'am "Never, Ever Without Hope." That hope gave me the faith, to hold on, to not let go but to trust the Lord in the midst of it all, so that my children and grand-children could see, that no matter the storm or the battle, the Father is there.

Thanks for sharing, for writing from the heart. It is good to see you posting here on your blog and is a encouragement to me to get back to posting again.

Blessings and prayers for your family and you.

Writing for the King,

Paul
The Mayor :-)

Great reminder for me, specifically today: Pray instead of complaining. Thank you.

My prayer focus this year is on two things, peace and repentance. God has reminded me that His bountiful blessings come through His peace and my repentance. Of course, there are many issues I need to work on, but when I heard these two words, I knew exactly what situation He was talking about. I'm saying the words every day, and asking Him to make them real in my life.

Thank you for your example, sweet friend.
